Lead the Australian operations of a global specialty chemicals manufacturer and take on a defined pathway to CEO

The Australian arm of this global speciality chemicals manufacturer is established, profitable, technically strong and poised for further growth. This is not a turnaround. The opportunity is to bring fresh operational leadership to an established platform, strengthen performance and build the capability required for its next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Australian Executive Leadership Team, you will operate as second in command with responsibility across manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, inventory and logistics, quality, regulatory affairs, safety and engineering.

You will partner with the Regional Financial Controller on operational financial performance, including cost of production, margin, CAPEX and OPEX.



You will also lead the transition of selected imported product lines to local manufacture.

A major component of the mandate will be the planned consolidation of the Victorian sites over an 18-to-24-month period, alongside improving operational consistency across the national footprint.

This role will appeal to an experienced, ambitious career minded leader with substantial chemical manufacturing experience and technical credibility to operate in a regulated process manufacturing setting. Experience across multi-site operations, site consolidation, relocation, greenfield commissioning or major plant upgrades will be highly regarded.

A tertiary qualification in chemical engineering, chemistry, industrial engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
