We provide free advice, deliver events and education, connect carers to vital respite activities, and analyse data to influence systemic change. We’re looking for an Event Operations Officer role to lead and coordinate the operational delivery and logistics of Carers Victoria events throughout Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
Job Description
The opportunity
Carers Victoria is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented personto join our Regional Carer Engagement Team to team as our Events Operations Officer. This full time role will suit someone who has experience in coordinating the operational delivery of events.
Whatyou’llbe doing
Coordinate the delivery of events and activities, ensuring smooth operations andlogistics.
Support event planning, scheduling, resourcing, and deliveryand the documentation of these in detailed process documents.
Build andmaintainstrong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, suppliers, and venues.
Prepare event communications and promotional materials to drive engagement.
Monitor event activity and workloads to support effective service delivery.
Maintainaccurateevent data and reporting through CRM systems.
Provide responsive customer service and support for event enquiries.
Contribute to continuous improvement, quality standards, and best practice in event delivery.
About you
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering events.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, anddemonstrateaccountability through effective planning, reporting, and follow-through.
Experience using CRM systems and event management platforms (e.g. Eventbriteand Dynamics 365 or similar).
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in events management, marketing, businessadministrationor similar field, ordemonstratedexperience in a similar role.
Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travel
Current first aid certificate or willingness to undertake first aid training
Willingness to provide a current Working with Children Check and undertake apolicecheck prior to commencement

12-month fixed-term,full timeposition
Salary: $96,893 gross+ plus superannuation, with some flexibility to negotiate based on experience and qualifications
Not-for-profit salary packaging available
Hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of working from home and attending our Melbourne CBD office for a weekly anchor day and team collaboration days. The role may also require occasional travel across regional Victoria, including overnight stays.
