SHANGLISH BROADMEADOWS PTY LTD Shanglish is seeking an experienced and motivated chef to join our professional kitchen team in Broadmeadows. The successful candidate will prepare and cook high-quality Lebanese and up-to-date Middle Eastern dishes using fresh ingredients, traditional cooking techniques and contemporary presentation methods. The Chef will assist with menu preparation, food quality control, stock management and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements.
- Plan and develop menus in consultation with management.
- Estimate food requirements and control food and labour costs.
- Maintain stock levels and order kitchen supplies.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualification & experience
- Relevant qualification in commercial cookery (Certificate IV, Diploma or higher) or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of post-qualification experience as a chef, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
- Sound knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
