We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team at Henderson.

This role is ideally suited to someone with CNC lathe experience; however, applicants with strong CNC machining experience across milling, boring, or other CNC machine types are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set and operate CNC lathes, horizontal/vertical borers and milling machines.
- Select suitable tooling, inserts, feeds and speeds for each machining application.
- Machine components to drawing specifications, samples and required tolerances.
- Work with a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic steels.
- Inspect completed work using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Maintain calibration and condition of measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance, setup times and production efficiency.
- Complete job sheets, compliance documentation and timesheets accurately.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and safe working practices.
- Work independently while collaborating with the Programmer, Workshop Manager and wider team.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, tooling and productivity.

About you:

- Previous CNC machining experience is essential.
- CNC lathe setup and machining experience is highly desirable, but not essential for the right CNC candidate.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of tooling selection, inserts, feeds and speeds.
- Confident using precision measuring equipment, including micrometres.
- Robust focus on quality, productivity and continuous improvement.
- Able to manage workload effectively and work well as part of a team.
- Committed to safe work practices, environmental compliance and professional conduct.
