About you

You are a proactive and dependable team player who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Whether you're receiving deliveries, supporting customers, maintaining stock levels or coordinating logistics, you bring a practical approach and strong attention to detail. Available to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm, you enjoy working with people, take pride in providing excellent service, and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining a safe and organised work environment. Most importantly, you're someone who is willing to learn, contribute and support a team committed to making a difference.

The role

Reporting to the Precinct Stores & Loading Dock Manager, you'll support the efficient operation of stores and loading dock services across the precinct. You'll assist with receiving and distributing deliveries, inventory management, customer enquiries, essential service supplies and general warehousing activities. Working closely with a range of internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure researchers and operational teams have the resources they need to continue their important work.

What we will trust you with

- Receiving, unloading, inspecting and storing incoming goods and deliveries
- Processing orders, shipments, dispatches and returns using electronic systems
- Coordinating the timely delivery and collection of goods across the precinct
- Providing outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with stock control, inventory management and routine stocktakes




- Supporting the management of essential precinct services including medical gases, waste streams and common consumables
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised stores and loading dock environment
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and walkie stackers (training provided where required)
- Assisting with loading dock security, traffic management and operational support activities
- Supporting other operational teams across the precinct when required

- Experience in a warehousing, stores, logistics or similar operational role
- A strong customer service mindset and commitment to helping others
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and electronic inventory or ordering systems
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically capable of performing manual handling and warehouse-related tasks
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Willing to learn new systems, processes and skills
