We are a combined specialist and general dental practice located in St Marys, conveniently located close to public transport.
Our team works in a modern, fully equipped practice where we pride ourselves on providing high-quality dental care and creating a welcoming experience for our patients.
About the Role
This position is primarily focused on chairside dental assisting, with some reception duties when required.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, organised and able to work independently while also being a positive and supportive team member.
The successful applicant will be comfortable working across a variety of dental procedures and assisting both our general dentists and periodontist.
Position details:
- Casual or Part-Time – 3–4 days per week
- Flexibility with days required, including some Saturdays
- Rostered hours vary depending on the day
- Part-Time: $30–$32 per hour, depending on experience
- Casual: $36–$39 per hour, depending on experience
- Australian work rights required
- Immediate start available for the right applicant

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians in providing high-quality dental care
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care
- Prepare surgeries and maintain a high standard of clinical presentation
- Maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Assist with a variety of general dental and periodontal procedures
- Support reception when required, including bookings, phone calls, payments and health fund enquiries
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow practice procedures
- Work collaboratively with the entire team and assist with covering shifts when required
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in chairside dental assisting
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- A friendly, professional and positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Sound knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures
- Confidence working independently and taking initiative
- Valuable knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in periodontal dentistry is an advantage
- Knowledge of D4W software is desirable but not essential
- A strong work ethic with excellent reliability and punctuality
- The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
