About the Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a rewarding Employment Consultant role delivering the Australian Government's Transition to Work (TTW) program across the South West Sydney West region. Based in Liverpool, you'll support young people aged 15-24 to overcome barriers, build confidence, and transition into sustainable employment, education, or training.
Managing a developing caseload, you'll provide personalised case management while building strong relationships with local employers, schools, community organisations, and support services.
Success in this role comes from building trust with participants, maintaining positive engagement in a voluntary program, and helping young people achieve lasting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants through structured case management
- Build strong relationships with young people and maintain positive engagement
- Deliver job readiness support, mentoring and employment pathway planning
- Develop relationships with local employers to create employment opportunities
- Reverse market participants to employers and secure sustainable placements
- Work collaboratively with schools, community organisations and referral partners
- Maintain participant records and contractual compliance requirements
- Achieve employment outcome targets while delivering exceptional participant support

About You
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience in employment services, recruitment, youth work, community services, sales, customer service or another KPI-driven setting
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and proactively manage your workload
- Resilience, empathy and confidence supporting participants with complex barriers
- Strong organisational and administration skills
Experience within Transition to Work, Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services or similar programs will be highly regarded but is not essential.
