Role Description The Workshop Supervisor is a full-time, in office role based in Hope Valley, WA, responsible for overseeing daily operations in the workshop to ensure the safe, efficient maintenance of Booth Transport’s fleet and equipment. This role coordinates and schedules maintenance and repair activities, assigns work to technicians, and monitors progress to meet operational and safety standards. The Workshop Supervisor ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintains accurate service records, and supports continuous improvement in workshop processes.



The position also involves collaborating with operations and logistics teams, managing parts and inventory, and working with internal stakeholders to support reliable fleet performance. A strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service underpins every aspect of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, workload allocation, performance monitoring, and mentoring.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, trailers, or similar transport equipment.
- Background in workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and customer service, with the ability to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar) and sound mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of transport industry safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance management or fleet tracking software.
- Current driver’s licence; heavy vehicle licence and experience in bulk liquid or tanker operations are advantageous.
