The Position

Reporting directly to senior regional leadership, this is an end-to-end Plant Management position responsible for the performance of the entire operation.

Leading a site of approximately 40 employees across three shifts, you will oversee production, maintenance, engineering, quality, EHS, financial performance and people development.

While strong manufacturing knowledge is key, this position requires an accomplished people leader who can build trust, develop capability and create a high-performing and accountable workplace culture. You will be visible across the operation, spending time on the factory floor and leading the team from the front.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing overall leadership across a highly automated manufacturing facility.
- Leading, mentoring and developing the site's leadership team.
- Overseeing production, maintenance, engineering, quality and EHS functions.
- Building a positive, accountable and safety-focused workplace culture.
- Driving continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing and operational-efficiency initiatives.
- Managing site P&L;, budgeting, cost control, EBITDA performance and financial reporting.
- Overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and leadership development.
- Managing EBA negotiations, industrial relations matters and union engagement.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.




- Partnering with regional and international leadership to deliver strategic projects and site improvements.

The Candidate

To be successful, you will be an experienced Plant Manager, Operations Manager or senior manufacturing leader with a proven ability to lead an entire manufacturing operation.

Leadership capability is particularly important. You must be able to engage employees at every level, develop your direct reports and provide clear direction while maintaining a genuine presence across the site.

You will ideally demonstrate:

- Significant leadership experience within an Australian manufacturing environment.
- Proven responsibility for the performance of an entire manufacturing operation.
- A strong track record of leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Local experience managing Australian workplace requirements, safety standards and employment practices.
- Knowledge across production, maintenance, engineering, quality and EHS.
- Experience managing P&L;, budgets, operational KPIs and overall financial performance.
- Experience with unionised workforces, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and industrial relations matters.
- A hands‑on leadership style and genuine willingness to spend time on the factory floor.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.
- Experience within packaging, plastics, thermoforming, automotive, FMCG or another highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous‑improvement methodologies.
