Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, full‑time Barber to join our growing team. You will provide a full range of men's grooming services to a busy mix of booked and walk‑in clients, working closely with the shop owner and the rest of the team to maintain the high standard of service our clients expect. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role suited to a skilled barber who takes pride in their craft.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform a full range of men's haircuts, fades, tapers and beard/shave services tailored to each client's preference
- Consult with clients to recommend suitable styles, treatments and hair/beard care products
- Apply hair colouring, bleaching and other chemical treatments as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation in line with health and safety standards
- Sterilise and maintain barbering tools and equipment between clients
- Build and retain a loyal client base through consistent, high‑quality service
- Promote and sell retail hair care and grooming products to clients
- Manage the appointment book and ensure efficient use of time between bookings
- Provide friendly,



professional customer service to walk‑in and booked clients
- Keep up to date with current men's grooming trends and techniques

Skills

- Proficient across all hair types, lengths and textures
- Skilled in classic and modern cutting, fading and shaving techniques
- Experienced in hair colouring and bleaching applications
- Strong attention to detail and precision with clippers, scissors and razors
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure during busy periods
- Confident recommending and upselling retail products

Experience

- Minimum 1 year's full‑time experience working as a barber or hairdresser
- Demonstrated experience serving a high volume of walk‑in and booked clients
- Experience working in a fast‑paced barbershop or salon environment
- Experience with retail product sales and client retention

Qualifications

- Certificate in Hairdressing/Barbering or equivalent formal training
- Completion of recognised barbering technique courses (cutting, shaving, colouring) highly regarded
- Equivalent, substantial industry experience will also be considered
