Christ Church Grammar School and Methodist Ladies' College are seeking an outstanding aquatics leader to lead the strategic direction of our shared Aquatic Precinct.
This unique senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape one of Western Australia's leading school based aquatic programs (including Swimming and Water Polo), driving participation, performance pathways, coaching excellence and community engagement across both Schools.
About the Role
As Director of Aquatics, you will provide strategic leadership of the Precinct, overseeing aquatic programs from Learn to Swim through to competitive pathways and school sport. Reporting to the Heads of Sport from both Schools and accountable to the Joint Aquatics Committee, you will lead a high performing team while ensuring the long term success, sustainability and growth of the Precinct.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic direction and growth of the Aquatic Precinct.
Develop and strengthen aquatic participation and performance pathways across both Schools.
Provide leadership, mentoring and performance management for coaches and swim teachers.
Oversee financial performance, budgeting and commercial sustainability.
Build strong relationships with school leaders, sporting organisations and the broader aquatic community.
Champion a culture of safety, excellence and outstanding customer experience.
About You
You will be a respected aquatics professional with:
Significant leadership experience in swimming, aquatics or high performance sport.
Proven success developing coaches, athletes and aquatic programs.
Strong strategic, financial and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within complex or multi-stakeholder environments.
A passion for creating exceptional outcomes for students and communities.
Minimum five years' senior coaching and/or aquatic leadership experience.
Swimming Australia National Swim Coach Licence.
ASCTA membership.
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
National Police Clearance.
