About the opportunity
Join a dedicated team within Forensic Medicine where your expertise in case coordination and administrative support will contribute directly to the effective operation of the coronial process.

As a Case Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and preparing complex medicolegal case information, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant legislative and procedural requirements. This role includes working within a specialised team responsible for conducting Financial Means Assessments for deceased persons.

Key responsibilities include facilitating the completion of Assessment of Financial Means of Deceased Person applications, liaising with NSW Police and Public Health Units, communicating sensitively with families regarding financial assessment processes, and engaging with stakeholders to obtain and verify required information.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with forensic and administrative professionals while maintaining effective relationships with a broad range of external partners, including healthcare providers, funeral directors, legal representatives, and government agencies. Your contribution will help ensure that each case is managed with professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail,



supporting informed decision-making throughout the coronial process.

What you'll be doing

To provide high-quality case management information and triage system support to the Rural Triage Centre and across Forensic Medicine Newcastle, through the gathering and preparation of complex medicolegal information for the facilitation and coordination of cases reportable to the Coroner.

- Demonstrated experience in providing high-level support to management and/or clinicians in the coordination of critical administration workflow.
