Part time Position: Early Childhood Diploma Trained Educator (3 days)

Organic Seedlings Education is a family run, purpose-built child care centre offering long day care services for children aged from 2 to 6 years. We work in multi-aged/multi-staged groups across a flexible learning environment both indoors and outdoors and committed to provide a child safe, high quality early learning program. The centre is located at Edmondson Park, a rapidly growing south-western Sydney suburb.
The centre offers a unique learning setting for young children which reflects natural surroundings and is established based on principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. We are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 48 weeks of the year. We are closed for 4 weeks during the Christmas period. We are looking for a Diploma trained educator to work full-time within the centre alongside other educators.
DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Approved ACECQA Diploma in Early Childhood Qualification.
- Knowledge, Understanding and experience in the development and implementation of educational programs and observations based on the:
- Early Years Learning Framework (Birth-5 aged care)
- National Quality Standards
- Experience in an approved education and care service providing quality and appropriate experiences and inviting learning environments for children specifically in the 2-3 year old age group.
- Understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting children’s learning and development.
- An understanding of and experience in working with the Reggio Emilia Approach is necessary and a willingness to continue to learn about this approach in an Australian context.
- Build strong relationships with children, educators, families and the wider community.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Eager to work with children and commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
- Excellent oral and written English skills and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills.First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Approved Course in Child Protection.
- We are a CHILD SAFE organisation and all staff are expected to follow a Code of Conduct to commit to keeping children safe in physical and online environments.
- Educator Immunisations as per the NSW Health recommendations for staff working in Early childhood services.
