We're looking for an energetic and hands‑on Café Manager to help lead our vibrant organic ,wholefood vegetarian and vegan, community‑focused café.

About the Role

As our Café Manager, you’ll bring purpose and values to life through exceptional service, delicious food, and a positive workplace culture. You’ll be a key leader on the floor, supporting daily operations.

5 days per week, including one weekend shift.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Culture

- Support and leading our café team for the daily operations.
- Foster a stable, inclusive, and upbeat workplace culture.
- Train and mentor team, ensuring confidence in their roles, safety and consistency in their work.
- Oversee productivity, time management and team punctuality.

Customer Experience

- Deliver warm, professional, high‑quality customer service.
- Maintain our café’s presentation, ambience, cleanliness, and comfort.
- Manage signage, displays, serving materials, and customer‑facing systems.

Food & Beverage

- Support our menu by maintaining standards and offering recommendations.
- Liaise with our Kitchen Manager on food quality, popularity, diversity, and service flow.
- Oversee food safety procedures, allergen procedures, stock rotation, and required documentation.





Operations

- Manage daily team needs.
- Provide input on rosters and team performance.
- Review operational systems and recommend improvements.
- Maintain waste management, equipment upkeep, POS menu updates, and storage areas.
- Handle cash responsibly, including till balancing.
- Work collaboratively with managers across departments to support brand consistency, efficiency, and safety.
- Participate actively in regular café team meetings.
- Robust barista skills required (essential).
- Recent experience in hospitality management, minimum two to three years.
- Solid understanding of specialty coffee and café operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience working in a high-volume café or hospitality venue.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail wth an ability to have a broad view of the needs for both the cafe and business.
- Positive, qualified, and "can-do" attitude.
- Availability to work one weekend day (essential).
