The opportunity

St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital is seeking a General Physician ready to establish or grow a private practice in one of Queensland’s fastest-growing cities.

You won’t be starting from scratch. The successful physician can benefit from existing demand and referral pathways, while St Andrew’s provides practical support to help establish the practice.

Support to establish your private practice

St Andrew’s can work with the successful physician on a service agreement that provides an agreed level of income certainty during the establishment phase. This reduces the financial risk of moving into private practice while you build your patient base and referral network.

Support may include practice set‑up assistance, introductions to local GPs and specialists, referral‑network development and relocation support.





About St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital

St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital is a 155-bed independent, private not-for-profit hospital serving Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and surrounding communities.

Our General Physicians work alongside an extensive onsite specialist network including Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Oncology, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Mental Health and other specialties and subspecialties.

St Andrew’s also provides Day Oncology, Inpatient Oncology and Radiotherapy services and has a robust history of healthcare innovation.

About you

- FRACP with eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience practising as a General Physician / Staff Specialist
- A commitment to high-quality inpatient and outpatient General Medicine
- An interest in building strong relationships with GPs, specialists and the broader medical community

Physicians with equivalent international specialist qualifications may also be considered, subject to Australian specialist recognition and registration requirements.
