Positive Care & Supports is seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to join our residential care team. In this full-time role, you will provide consistent, high-standard care and mentorship, helping participants feel secure, valued, and supported in their home workplace.

The participants we support include individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other medical conditions such as epilepsy. Because they may occasionally experience challenging behaviors or medical needs, we are looking for a professional who remains calm under pressure, implements structured care plans with precision, and prioritizes safety and dignity at all times.

Full-Time Residential Support Worker

Positive Care & Supports is seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to join our residential care team. In this full-time role, you will provide consistent, high-standard care and mentorship, helping participants feel secure, valued, and supported in their home environment.

The participants we support include individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other medical conditions such as epilepsy. Because they may occasionally experience challenging behaviors or medical needs, we are looking for a professional who remains calm under pressure, implements structured care plans with precision, and prioritizes safety and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Foster a stable,



structured, and nurturing home environment utilising your background in complex care.
- Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations, implementing established proactive support strategies effectively.
- Administer emergency medication in accordance with specialized training and individualized health protocols.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with family members, educational providers, and the wider multidisciplinary support team.

Essential Criteria:

- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or intellectual disabilities.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance.
- Relevant medication and epilepsy training (or a strong commitment to completing required training promptly).
- Recognised qualifications in disability services, community care, or a related field.
- Consistency is vital for the resident’s well-being. Applicants must be able to commit fully to an ongoing, regular full-time roster.

Induction and Onboarding:

To ensure a smooth transition, successful applicants will participate in a comprehensive, participant-specific induction. You will be provided with full access to behavior support plans, health protocols, and team handovers before commencing independent shifts.
