We are looking for a qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our family business. In this role you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and routine repairs to a range of vehicles. Your responsibilities would include:
- Conducting thorough and accurate inspections on new and used vehicles
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and issues with electrical and mechanical systems
- Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance to industry standards
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
- Completing on-road testing and quality assurance checks on all work done
- Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and professional workplace
To be successful in the role you will need the following:
- A formal qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical repair or a related automotive trade
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to drive manual vehicles and light commercials is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Broad knowledge of a wide range of makes and models, including European vehicles
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Excellent time-management and organisational abilities
- A strong customer service mindset and professional presentation
- Commitment to safety, quality standards, and compliance
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Your own set of tools (recommended)
Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
Applicants must be an Australian resident. Those currently working as a 3 or 4th year apprentice may be considered for the role.
