We are currently seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Team Leader / Forklift Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for supporting warehouse and production operations while ensuring a safe, efficient and productive work environment.
About the Role
This is an excellent prospect for an experienced forklift operator who enjoys leading by example. Working across our warehouse and production areas, you will coordinate afternoon shift activities, support production requirements and ensure products and materials are moved safely and efficiently to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Afternoon Shift warehouse team
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently across warehouse locations
- Coordinate loading, unloading, dispatch and stock movements
- Support production with the timely supply of raw materials and movement of finished goods
- Ensure inventory transactions and stock movements are completed accurately
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support as required
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
- Assist with stock control, replenishment and warehouse organisation
- Ensure warehouse and equipment housekeeping standards are maintained
- Liaise with production, logistics and warehouse teams to meet operational requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous Team Leader, Leading Hand or supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years' forklift operating experience
- Experience operating high reach and counterbalance forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Experience within an FMCG or manufacturing workplace highly regarded
