About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SAP Finance Lead (FICO) to join a major mining organisation undergoing a large-scale Divestment Program. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the SAP Finance workstream and ensuring successful delivery across design, build, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.

Working within a complex multi-vendor environment, you will collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders, project managers, architects, and functional leads to ensure seamless separation and transition of finance processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end SAP FICO workstream across design, build, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare phases.
- Own Finance workstream planning, execution, governance, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and facilitate workshops, steering committees, and governance discussions.




- Coordinate finance-related activities across data migration, integrations, reporting, and testing teams.
- Support SIT, UAT, deployment readiness, and cutover planning activities.
- Manage and coordinate offshore delivery teams, ensuring quality outcomes and adherence to timelines.
- Drive finance process readiness and business adoption throughout the program lifecycle.

Required Experience

- 10+ years of SAP FICO consulting and delivery experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading SAP Finance workstreams within divestment, carve-out, merger, acquisition, or separation programs.
- Solid expertise across:
- SAP FI/CO
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation and integration initiatives.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments is highly regarded.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
