Servco Australia

Queensland

Servco Australia is one of Australia’s largest automotive retail dealership groups, operating across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.

With Respect, Service, Teamwork and Innovation as our core values, we are focused on transforming the Australian automotive industry with our customers at the centre of everything we do. We are known for being a rapid‑paced and agile organisation, with a strong focus on optimising today, navigating tomorrow and shaping the future. Our parent company, Servco Pacific, is headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been operating since 1919, regularly recognised as one of Hawaii’s Best Places to Work.

Workday runs our people and payroll across 45+ dealership sites and 2,000+ team members. We need someone who doesn't just talk about fixing it, they roll up their sleeves and get it done.

If you're energised by solving real problems, tightening up configuration, and turning a stabilising system into a genuinely optimised one, this opportunity is for you.

The Opportunity

You'll be the go‑to Workday expert for HCM and Payroll, trusted to keep the system stable today while shaping what it becomes tomorrow. This is a hands‑on seat at the table, not a back‑office ticket queue.

This is a 12-month contract role, with potential extension depending on business requirements. We'reopen to remote work for the right candidate.

What You’ll Own

- Resolve and administer day‑to‑day Workday HCM/Payroll tickets and issues through triage, root cause, and fix
- Configure and refine Workday so it actually works for the people using it

- Drive continued stabilisation and lead our transition into optimisation
- Spot improvement opportunities and turn them into a practical roadmap
- Be the primary AMS contact, keeping vendor requests moving with urgency and accuracy
- Ensure governance, documentation and compliance (Fair Work, Awards, EA)

What Makes You Right for This

- Demonstrated experience in Workday/HRIS configuration, HCM essential, Australian Payroll is preferred
- A genuine doer who is proactive, hands‑on, and comfortable owning a problem end to end
- Confident explaining Workday to non‑technical people with no jargon, just clarity and a resolution
- Strong documentation and testing discipline; certifications highly regarded
- Resilient and independent, but a natural collaborator across HR and Payroll

Why Servco?

- Join a business big enough to make an impact, small enough that you'll actually be known. You'll get the autonomy to shape a system that touches every part of the employee experience, working alongside a broader team based in our head office.
- Flexible working - hybrid or remote options available for the right candidate
- Investment in your growth
- Small‑business feel, enterprise‑scale backing (and a parent company with a 100+ year legacy)

Ready to Own It?

Servco Australia is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.

Please note thatonly candidates with permanent Australian work rights and no restrictions will be considered.

We do not accept applications from any recruitment agencies.
