Role: Senior Ping Identity Developer

Experience: 8+ years

Location: Sydney

Job Type: Full Time (Permanent)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ping Identity Developer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using the Ping Identity suite. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Single Sign‑On (SSO), Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), Federation, API Security, and modern authentication protocols to support large‑scale digital transformation initiatives.

The role involves working closely with security architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable identity solutions across cloud and on‑premises environments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience implementing Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM).
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Security Architecture.
- Experience with SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, ForgeRock, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, or enterprise monitoring tools.
- Experience in Banking and Financial Services domain.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as banking, financial services, or insurance.
- Understanding of APRA, CPS 230, CPS 234,



and security compliance requirements.
- Experience securing internet banking, mobile banking, customer‑facing APIs, and digital channels.
- Knowledge of privileged access management and identity governance processes.

Soft Skills

- Ability to lead technical discussions and workshops.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions using Ping Identity products.

Configure and administer:

- PingAccess
- PingOne
- PingDirectory
- PingID
- PingAuthorize (preferred)
- Build and maintain SSO integrations for internal, partner, and customer‑facing applications.
- SAML 2.0
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Configure MFA policies and adaptive authentication solutions.
- Develop custom authentication adapters, token processors, and integration components.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard applications into the enterprise IAM ecosystem.
- Integrate identity solutions with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Support API security implementations using OAuth, JWT, and token‑based authentication mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, federation, and access management issues.
- Perform code reviews, security reviews, and provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to IAM roadmap initiatives.
- Ensure solutions comply with organisational security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
