About the role

PQC Painting Solutions is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse painting projects across residential, commercial and industrial settings. As a Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes whilst maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism. Your expertise and attention to detail will be integral to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding, filling and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality

- Apply paint, varnish and other coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment with precision and care

- Mix paints and coatings to achieve the correct consistency and colour specifications

- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate project timelines and requirements

- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required

- Adhere to environmental and waste management guidelines when handling and disposing of materials

What we're looking for

- A recognised painting qualification or substantial experience in a painting trade role

- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques including sanding, filling and priming

- Experience with various painting application methods including brush, roller and spray techniques

- Knowledge of different paint types, coatings and finishes appropriate to various surfaces

- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship





- Ability to read and interpret specifications, plans and colour requirements

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- A valid driver's license is desirable for travel between job sites

- Current First Aid certification is advantageous

- A safety-conscious approach with understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
