Job Description

- 0.8 FTE Part-time, 2 years Fixed-Term position at HEW Level 5.
- Hawkesbury campus with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary: $85,778 – $97,006 plus 17% Super (Pro-rata).

Coordinate education programs that support smart and sustainable horticulture research training.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will provide planning, scheduling and operational support for training and education programs within the ARC Training Centre for Smart & Sustainable Horticulture. The Centre is funded by the Australian Research Council under the Industrial Transformation Training Centre program and will run from 2025 to 2030.

You will work with the Centre Director, Centre Manager and Centre Research & Training Committee to develop the Centre’s Training and Education Plan. You will also coordinate education materials and resources that support the Centre’s training goals across academic, student, industry and school-based audiences.

You will organise symposia, masterclasses, workshops and stakeholder meetings linked to education and training. You will gather communications content from academic staff and Centre participants, manage online and website materials, and support reporting to Centre committees and funding agencies.

You will build effective working relationships with Centre academics, students, industry stakeholders and members of the public. You will also support HDR student wellbeing and help develop learning communities for industry partners, horticulture professionals and high school teachers using the Centre’s educational resources.

What Success Looks Like:

- Coordinate a practical Training and Education Plan aligned to Centre goals.
- Develop and maintain education materials and resources for varied audiences.
- Deliver well-organised training events, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
- Support effective reporting,



governance and secretariat processes.
- Build positive stakeholder relationships across the Centre and University.

About You

- A graduate degree with experience in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, training or science communication.
- Experience developing training and education programs, materials and resources for a range of audiences.
- Experience organising and delivering education and training events online and in person, live and on demand.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain positive relationships.
- Strong organisational, time and workload management skills, with experience supporting multiple concurrent projects.
