Full-time opportunity | Established Distribution Operation
Greystones Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join a well-established distribution operation based in the Melbourne Airport / Tullamarine area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys being hands-on but also has the confidence and people skills to support and mentor others within the team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can think on their feet and is comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
The Role
Working as part of an established warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:
- Forklift and reach operation
- Receiving, picking, packing and dispatching goods
- General warehouse and distribution duties
- Prioritising daily workloads and meeting operational deadlines
- Working safely and efficiently within established procedures
- Using warehouse and computer-based systems
- Assisting and supporting other team members
- Helping maintain a positive, productive and team-focused workplace
- Identifying and resolving day-to-day operational issues
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A current Australian forklift licence
- Demonstrated reach forklift experience
- Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise work without needing constant supervision
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Confidence learning and using IT and warehouse systems
- Strong communication and people skills
- The ability to mentor, lead and work alongside other team members
- A good level of physical fitness and a willingness to get involved in hands-on work
- A positive attitude and genuine team-player mentality
What We’re Looking For
This role will suit someone who is more than simply a forklift operator.
You may already be an experienced Warehouse Operator, Senior Storeperson or 2IC who enjoys taking responsibility and helping the wider team succeed.
Attitude and cultural fit are important. We are looking for someone reliable, practical and hardworking who communicates well, learns quickly and is prepared to contribute wherever needed.
