Role 1: Experienced Geotechnical Engineer
Experience: 4-8 years
About This Role
Step into a role where your technical expertise directly shapes construction outcomes. You'll deliver and certify geotechnical reports, run advanced analyses, and mentor the next generation of investigators - all while building towards technical leadership.
What You'll Do
- Review, certify, and sign off Lot/Site Classification reports (AS1726, AS2870, AS2159, NSW & QLD standards)
- Lead bulk earthworks investigations and designs from brief to final report
- Run Plaxis 2D/3D analyses for embankments, slopes, and retaining structures
- Prepare geotechnical reports,
slope stability assessments, and earthworks specifications
- Conduct and oversee field investigations, soil/rock logging, and earthworks testing
- Mentor junior engineers and Site Investigators
- Contribute to QA systems, reporting templates, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 4-8 years' geotechnical engineering experience
- Hands-on bulk earthworks design and reporting background
- Solid Plaxis 2D/3D modelling skills
- Geotester reporting experience
- NER and RPEQ registered
- Willingness to cross-train in Screw Pier foundation design
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (or related)
- CPEng accreditation highly regarded
- Transparent communicator who takes ownership and drives outcomes
