What's the role?

Medium Rare Content Agency is looking for a curious, analytical and proactive Audience Development Specialist to help us better understand how audiences discover, consume and engage with Coles content across social, search and owned channels.

Working within the Strategy & Insights team, you’ll help turn audience, channel and search data into clear recommendations that strengthen Coles content performance and accelerate audience growth. You’ll help us understand not only how audiences interact with our content, but also how they discover it, whether through social platforms, search engines or emerging AI-powered experiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career within digital marketing, social media, analytics, SEO or audience development who combines strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in content, culture and consumer behaviour.

Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain regular content performance reporting across social, website, search, and content channels.

- Monitor content performance across Social, YouTube, and Search to understand and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation.

- Conduct keyword research to identify emerging topics, content opportunities, seasonal trends, and gaps in our existing content offering to inform content creation.

- Translate search trends, audience behaviours, and platform insights into actionable content recommendations.

- Identify opportunities to improve content discoverability across social platforms, search engines, and AI-driven search experiences.

- Partner with strategists, content creators, and the editorial team to optimise our publishing approaches.

Who are you?

- You are in the early stages of your career but bring valuable hands-on experience, and you are eager for the right opportunity to learn, grow, and develop your expertise.

- You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a genuine interest in content, culture, and consumer behaviour.

- You have hands-on experience working with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Analytics, TikTok Analytics, or similar tools.

- You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- You have proficient Excel, Google Sheets, or dashboarding skills.

- You have a solid understanding of social platforms, search behaviour, and audience development principles.
