About the role

This role will involve fabrication work in a workshop environment, working from plans and following directions to complete quality work safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

· Fabricate steel components including stairs, balustrades, handrails, guardrails, and custom safety solutions.

· Interpret and work from work orders, shop drawings, and specifications.

· Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and assembly to a high standard.

· Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish meet company expectations.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.

· Assist with loading/unloading materials and general workshop duties as required.

About you

We are looking for a reliable and skilled tradesperson with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. You take pride in your work, can work both independently and as part of a team, and consistently follow safe work practices.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop workplace and adaptable to a variety of fabrication tasks.





Qualifications & experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- Trade qualification in Welding/Fabrication (required).

- Experience in steel fabrication within a workshop environment.

- Proven welding experience (MIG).

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

- Experience fabricating stairs, handrails, and balustrades (highly regarded).

- Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision

- Driver’s license (required), Forklift licence (preferred), & MR truck license (preferred).

- An understanding of workplace health and safety practices (desirable).
