About Airbus Public Safety and Security (PSS)

At Airbus PSS, we are the trusted digital backbone for those who protect us. Bolstered by over 50 years of delivery experience and trusted by over 2 million daily users worldwide, we design and deliver end-to-end, mission-critical and business-critical communication solutions. We accompany emergency services, public safety authorities, and critical infrastructure operators (such as utilities and transport) through their pivotal digital transition.

Our state-of-the-art product portfolio includes:

- Airbus Agnet: Our 3GPP-compliant, secure digital group collaboration platform (MCX). It allows field personnel to seamlessly share real-time multimedia, video, data, and location tracking over 4G/5G and satellite networks.
- Tactical & Hybrid Solutions: Seamlessly bridging legacy narrowband voice networks (TETRA/APCO25) with next-generation broadband to secure existing infrastructure investments.

The Opportunity

We are introducing a brand-current, strategically vital role to our ANZ team: Senior Solutions Consultant / Business Analyst.

The secure communication industry is on the cusp of a major evolution. Traditional voice-only systems are transitioning to high-speed broadband, real-time video, and data-rich situational awareness. Working in lockstep with our ANZ National Sales Manager and the broader APAC team, you will act as the key advisory bridge between our clients and our technology.

You will partner with public safety agencies and critical industries across Australia and New Zealand, helping them digitalise their operational processes, design hybrid communication strategies, and adopt the Airbus Agnet platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner directly with client peers to study their daily operations, map out their IT environments, and identify opportunities to digitalise their workflows.
- Collect, analyse, and translate complex operational needs from end-users into robust technical requirements.
- Define how Airbus Agnet or hybrid TETRA-broadband solutions integrate into our customers' existing systems (including applications, IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and security frameworks).
- Work alongside Key Account Managers (PSS and Airbus Defence & Space) to shape sales strategies, participate in customer demos, and build robust value propositions.
- Collaborate with local ANZ partners, consortiums, channel partners, and suppliers to leverage the full Airbus ecosystem.
- Act as the voice of the ANZ customer internally to influence the global Agnet product development roadmap. Help shape upcoming RFPs to align with Airbus's unique selling propositions (USPs) and service capabilities.

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you will bring a balanced mix of technical acumen, analytical curiosity, and excellent stakeholder management skills:

- A strong understanding of the telecommunications market. Direct experience within public safety, emergency services, or critical infrastructure operations is highly regarded.
- Deep familiarity with business analysis frameworks, feasibility studies, business case development, cost/benefit analyses, and operator business planning.

- Sound understanding of LTE/5G fundamentals (mandatory), cloud/SaaS environments, software development life cycles (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative), and IT solutions architecture.
- Proven ability to work independently in Melbourne while collaborating seamlessly with regional headquarters in Singapore and global HQ in Europe.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Soft Skills

- Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent in IT, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
- A dynamic team player with a strong proactive attitude and a passion for opening new markets.
- Creative and analytical thinker who manages priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

- The chance to be a foundational member of a growing team in a critical, high-impact industry.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement based out of a premium coworking space in Melbourne's CBD (Collins Square) and home office.
- Exposure to cutting-edge, global aerospace and critical communications technology.
- A cooperative and supportive international culture.

Supporting Diversity

At Airbus, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity. We are committed to providing a work setting in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. Diversity is key to our ability to work cohesively as a team regardless of age, disability, race, sex, intersex status, gender identity and sexual orientation.
