Hays is partnering with a respected aged care provider seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your practical maintenance skills while contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
Your new role
Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the facility. This hands-on role requires a proactive attitude, robust customer service skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- General building maintenance duties
- Painting, patching and minor repair works
- Drilling, mounting and installation tasks
- Liaising with contractors and assisting with site work
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Ensuring the facility remains safe, functional and well-presented
- Providing a high level of customer service to residents, visitors and staff
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyperson roles
- Solid practical maintenance and repair skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded
- Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Current Australian Driving Licence
- Up-to-date Flu Vaccination
- Ability to complete all required compliance checks prior to commencement
- Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
