About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to take the culinary lead across a high-profile hospitality and events operation. Offering $110K-$140K + super, depending on experience, the role provides genuine scope to influence menus, develop a strong kitchen team, and deliver food across dining, functions, events, and larger-scale catering. You'll work closely with senior management and the wider catering team to maintain high standards while bringing creativity and consistency to the operation. Position Description
- Lead all kitchen operations across dining, functions, events, and catering
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large and diverse kitchen team
- Work closely with the catering and events team to deliver high-volume functions and special events
- Oversee food preparation, service execution, presentation, and quality control
- Develop rosters and manage labour requirements in line with business needs
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
- Collaborate with senior management on culinary direction and future opportunities
- Drive a positive, accountable, and qualified kitchen culture
Position Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within a premium restaurant or signature events environment
- Demonstrated experience managing larger kitchen teams and multiple service styles
- Strong background across functions, events, banqueting, and à la carte dining
- Strong hands - on experience delivering restaurant and events
- Proven ability to recruit, train, mentor, and retain kitchen teams
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of food safety, compliance, and kitchen systems
- Formal culinary qualifications required
- Flexibility to work across a range of service periods, including weekends and events
