Public Sector People are working with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit an AO3 Administration Officer. This role is ideal for an experienced customer service professional who enjoys working directly with the public, providing clear information and navigating a range of enquiries in a regulatory environment.
As the Customer Service Officer, you will act as a key first point of contact for customers accessing face-to-face services. You will provide accurate information and guidance across a range of enquiries, helping customers understand relevant processes, procedures and service requirements.
This is a casual temporary role for 4 weeks from 21st Sep to 16th Oct, you will work full time hours for the 4 weeks.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality face-to-face customer service, information and advice across a range of enquiries.
- Assist customers to understand relevant legislation, policies, procedures, services and application processes.
- Respond to general enquiries and assist customers with regulatory, licensing, compliance and dispute-related matters.
- Undertake front counter duties and provide administrative support to the wider regional team.
- Process, collate and maintain information across multiple systems, databases and applications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services,
policies and procedures through ongoing training and quality assurance activities.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in community awareness, educational and stakeholder engagement activities where required.
- Provide professional and respectful service when dealing with challenging or sensitive customer interactions.
- Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement activities and the effective operation of the regional service centre.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a customer service, front counter, contact centre or government service delivery environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures or legislation in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
- Solid administrative skills and experience working across multiple systems and databases.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately process and maintain information.
