EWP Systems is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Mechanic / EWP Technician to join our growing team in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a hands-on mechanical role working across a wide variety of Elevated Work Platforms, with a strong focus on truck-mounted EWPs, Major Inspections, mechanical repairs and refurbishments.

While EWP experience is highly regarded, it isn't essential. We're also keen to hear from experienced mechanics, diesel fitters, plant mechanics and recent trade graduates who have strong mechanical aptitude and are looking to expand their skills in a specialised industry.

Our Major Inspection work goes well beyond routine servicing. You'll be involved in stripping equipment down, inspecting mechanical components, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and replacements, rebuilding equipment and helping return machines to service safely and reliably.

If you enjoy pulling things apart, figuring out how they work, fixing problems properly and seeing the finished machine go back out the door, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out mechanical repairs, maintenance and servicing on, Trucks, Elevated Work Platforms, Vehicles alike.

• Assisting with Major Inspections, strip-downs, rebuilds and refurbishments of EWPs.

• Inspecting, repairing and replacing mechanical components including pins, bushes, bearings and associated components.

• Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults.

• Removing, inspecting and replacing hydraulic cylinders and other components.





• Carrying out preventative maintenance and compliance inspections.

• Working across a variety of equipment, with a strong focus on truck-mounted EWPs and their vehicles.

• Assisting with component repairs, modifications and replacement.

• Supporting testing and final commissioning of completed equipment.

• Maintaining a secure, organised and professional workshop environment.

• Contributing to a positive team culture where quality workmanship is valued.

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualified mechanic, diesel fitter, plant mechanic or similar trade highly regarded.

• EWP industry experience highly regarded, but not essential for the right person.

• Recent trade graduates with strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.

• Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems advantageous.

• Experience with heavy vehicles, plant, machinery or mobile equipment advantageous.

• Welding, fabrication or machining experience beneficial but not essential.

• A practical approach to problem solving.

• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.





• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 38-hour work week:

o Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

o Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
