EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who are seeking a career in the Fire Protection industry. Infinity Fire Protection will create a training program for you to become a qualified and competent Fire Alarm Technician.
This field based role is an opportunity for on the job training with our dedicated Electrical and Testing Teams, combined with self paced study to achieve the relevant qualifications. You will assist our current qualified technicians and demonstrate the ability to learn from several technical Australian Standard documents and be able to put that knowledge into practice
Successful applicants will be working primarily in the Extra Low Voltage Fire Alarm systems and will be trained in the following:
- Testing a range of Fire Control Panels in accordance with AS 1851 Routine Service of Fire Protection Systems and Equipment.
- Internal training courses covering basic electrical principles and Fire Systems.
- Assist with attaining the ACMA open Cablers Licence.
- Complete CPPFES2047 Certificate II Inspect and Test Control and Indication Equipment.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants need to have reasonable fitness and be willing to work at various sites during the working week.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate through their prior experience in either IT, electronics or the electrical trade or similar, that they are reliable and motivated.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Skills and abilities required:
- Motivated to learn what is a complex and demanding industry.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Ability to work well unsupervised at times
- Technical aptitude, IT skills would be highly advantageous
- Great team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and safe work practices
