Rates: Dayshift $50.50 Afternoon Shift $58.07 (inclusive of 15% shift loading)
Overtime: Plenty available each week plus Saturday shifts!
Hours – Dayshift 5am-1pm Monday to Friday. Afternoon shift 1pm-9pm Monday to Friday

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Wacol.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically skilled fitter looking to secure a stable dayshift position within a high volume manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of production equipment while working closely with the wider maintenance and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and plant equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime
Conduct inspections, servicing and scheduled maintenance
Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
Assist with continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently
About You
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing
Strong mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes
Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
Reliable, hands-on and proactive approach
