Full Time Chef – Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant (Wollongong)

Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant in Wollongongis seeking a talented and motivated full time Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. With a focus on fresh, local seafood and high-quality seasonal produce, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a stunning coastal setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to restaurant standards
Manage and organise your assigned section during service
Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently and to required quality
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
Assist with menu development and seasonal menu updates
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Minimise waste and follow cost-control guidelines
Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff as needed
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
Ensure smooth and effective service during busy periods




Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Contribute to a positive, skilled kitchen workplace

What We’re Looking For
Relevant qualification
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
Passion for seafood and modern Australian cuisine
Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure
Commitment to maintaining high kitchen standards
Team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
