A growing specialist property development business is seeking a Design & Planning Manager to lead design and planning across its expanding portfolio of residential and specialist housing projects. This is a hands‑on role for someone with an architectural background who is comfortable producing concept designs to support acquisitions and driving planning approvals.

The Role

You will play a pivotal part in shaping projects from acquisition through planning approval, working closely with the acquisitions and development teams.

Responsibilities
Supporting acquisitions through early‑stage concept designs, massing studies, and planning assessments
Creating, managing, and evolving design briefs, standard designs, and specifications
Overseeing planning approvals (DA and/or CDC pathways)
Coordinating architects, planners,



certifiers, and other design consultants
Conducting design reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance

About You
Architectural background with robust design capability
Experience in residential or multi‑residential developments
SDA experience preferred but not essential
CDC experience preferred but not essential
Commercially minded, balancing design quality with delivery outcomes
Cooperative, pragmatic, and hands‑on
