About You:
Trade Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in Wood Machining
Previous experience working with CNC Routers
Previous experience working with 4 or 5 Sided Moulders
Experience with Band saws and edge-matching machines
Ability to Tool change and Machine set-up
Be Physically fit
Motivated, reliable and hard working
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Sets up woodworking machines and wood stock for correct cutting, planning, turning, shaping and sanding
Operates machines to cut, plane, turn, shape and sand work pieces
Removes old finishes by stripping with steel wool and glasspaper,
and by applying solvents and paint strippers, and removing softened finishes by scraping
Applying varnish, shellac, lacquer, stains and paint to surfaces and polishing and waxing finished surfaces
Fitting and fastening frame pieces
Mounting backing materials and subjects for framing
Work hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:20pm - Overtime available
