Maintain correct drilling practices and techniques - no shortcuts
Ensure samples and procedures meet quality standards – incorrect sampling means a wasted hole
Communicate with clients, crew, and management – ability to communicate effectively with mining Superintendents, Geos and other Stakeholders in a qualified manner
Proactively conducting and reporting daily pre-starts and maintenance checks: no productivity or metre bonuses if the rigs break down!
Consumables stocktake and ordering to keep the camp and rig well supplied
Requirements
Experience as Diamond, RC and Aircore Driller;
Certificate III or IV in Drilling Operations (desirable)
(WA)
HR Drivers' Licence; still apply even if you only have a C Class
Senior First Aid (or willing to obtain)
4WD Certificate (desirable)
Working at Heights (desirable)
National Police Clearance – within 3 months
Of course – fit enough to pass a medical with a clean urine sample!
Advantages
WA based roles, mostly around Goldfields
Happy to stay in bush/caravan camp setups if required
2:1 or 4:2 rosters, but flexibility needed for coverage as required
During probations: $700 - $800 per day + metre bonus (experience dependent)
After probation: $negotiated based on demonstrated ability and meeting agreed KPI's
