Our client is an Australian wide printing centre located in Chullora, and are looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to commence on day shift. Full training will be provided

Your duties will include:
Operate and maintain equipment pertaining to the production of newspapers - this is a hands on role
Reel stand operation - working on stripping stations, monitoring machines, reporting faults and checking for product damage
Working as part of a small team
Liaison with internal departments in regards to electrical and mechanical faults
Meeting KPI targets in regards to housekeeping and safety
Multi tasking and prioritising workload

Requirements

To be successful in this position you will:




Have experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing workplace
Be able to work day shift Monday to Friday with wide-ranging start times eg: could be 7am, 8am or 9am with occasional earlier starts.
Have excellent time management skills & attention to detail
Have strong communication skills and be able to lead a small team
A strong safety focus as well as a robust focus on quality of work
Be able to work autonomously and meet deadlines
Be computer literate
