Job Description: Data Centric testing

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data migration activities.
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and migration teams to understand migration requirements and data mapping.
Perform detailed validation of data migrated from Data Bricks to Data Fabric, ensuring alignment with D365 ERP requirements.
Conduct data reconciliation between source and target systems, verifying record counts, data quality, and transformation logic.
Identify, document, and track data migration defects; work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
Participate in root cause analysis for data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests for data migration cycles, including dry runs, mock migrations, and final cutover.
Validate data integrity, completeness, and consistency post-migration.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports, defect logs, and status updates for stakeholders.
Document test results and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Work closely with migration, development, and business teams to ensure successful migration and testing outcomes.




Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide guidance on data-related test scenarios.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Atleast 3+ years of experience in data migration testing, preferably in ERP transformation projects.
Robust understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP modules and data structures.
Hands-on experience with Data Bricks and Data Fabric platforms.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
Experience with ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation logic.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based data migration (Azure, AWS, etc.).
Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
Prior experience in large-scale ERP transformation projects.
