Are you an experienced Disability Support Worker ready to make a real difference?
Connecting Families is seeking a compassionate, skilled worker to provide 2:1 support to an 18-year-old female client in Bringelly, NSW with complex behavioural and mental health needs.
About the Role
Casual position
Support includes daily living tasks, community access, emotional support, and managing challenging behaviours.
Client diagnoses: Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 2), ADHD, ODD, PTSD, Anxiety
Behavioural challenges: absconding, physical and verbal aggression, self-harm,
intimidation, property damage, non-compliance
Applicants must be comfortable working in a high-risk environment and managing complex behaviours.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with youth with mental health or behavioural needs
Ability to manage complex behaviours safely
Patience, empathy, resilience, and strong rapport-building skills
Versatile and adaptable to meet unpredictable client needs
Requirements
Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent
NDIS Worker Screening Check & WWCC
First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009)
Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support
