Join our client, a national peak body supporting Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services as a Project Officer, Immunisations based in Canberra.
This role contributes to the development and delivery of vital immunisation programs aimed at improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will be involved in managing sector grants, preparing reports and briefs, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, and peak bodies.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and deliver sector grants by developing guidelines and agreements, overseeing funding agreements, and reporting on outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive project reports, discussion papers, and briefing documents to support immunisation initiatives.
Identify and escalation grant-related issues within the project team and senior leadership.
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve established project objectives.
Provide administrative support including minute taking and project coordination.
Desired qualifications & experience:
Tertiary qualifications in project management, policy or relevant fields, or equivalent experience.
Capabilities:
Robust attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work sensitively and effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Proficiency in MS Office to support effective administration, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
