We are looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at the Old Noarlunga Hotel, a well-loved local pub known for its friendly service, quality meals and welcoming community atmosphere.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation and service across a busy pub environment.
Key tasks include
Preparing and cooking meals to a high and consistent standard;
Supporting service across lunch, dinner and busy trade periods;
Following recipes, portion control and presentation standards;
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen;
Assisting with stock rotation, prep lists and general kitchen duties;
Working collaboratively with the front of house team; and
Bringing a positive, hands-on attitude to every shift.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub,
restaurant or fast-paced kitchen;
A genuine passion for food and quality service;
Strong communication and time management skills;
Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods;
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards;
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends; and
A team-first attitude.
