The Senior Catering Assistant plays a key role in delivering high-quality catering services, mentoring residents, and ensuring seamless operations across both Joan’s Coffee Shop and our community kitchen. The thriving coffee shop offers a friendly welcome for customers to enjoy delicious meals, snacks and drinks. The community kitchen is where all meals for residents are prepared, as well as providing a place for residents to develop skills such as food preparation and teamwork.

As a Senior Catering Assistant, you will support the Catering Manager to oversee the logistics and operations of both locations. You will split your time between both locations on a rota basis, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations, while mentoring residents in food preparation, kitchen safety, and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, community, and empowerment, and who thrives in a cooperative workplace where every contribution makes a tangible difference. Your efforts will directly contribute to the financial sustainability of the coffee shop and, by extension, the vital work of Emmaus Cambridge.
