We are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our busy medical practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced receptionist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a quick-paced healthcare environment.

The successful applicant will have previous experience using Best Practice software, excellent customer service skills, and a minimum of one year's experience working in a medical reception role.

Key Responsibilities
Greeting patients in a warm and professional manner.
Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and recalls using Best Practice software.
Answering and directing telephone enquiries.
Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate medical records.
Billing patients, processing Medicare claims, and handling EFTPOS payments.
Liaising with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and external healthcare providers.
Managing incoming correspondence, referrals, and pathology results.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with privacy legislation.




Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of medical reception experience in a general practice or specialist clinic.
Previous experience using Best Practice medical software (essential).
Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualified presentation and a positive, friendly attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sound computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Experience with Medicare billing and claiming.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
