The Opportunity

Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a Planning & Environment Lawyer to join its highly regarded practice in Brisbane.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside some of Queensland's leading planning and environment lawyers, advising both public and private sector clients on a broad mix of front-end advisory and contentious matters. You'll gain exposure to significant development, infrastructure, environmental, and cultural heritage projects while playing an integral role in the continued growth of a market‑leading team.

The Role
Advise clients on planning, environmental, infrastructure,



and cultural heritage matters.
Assist with development strategy and statutory planning advice.
Represent clients in Planning & Workplace Court proceedings and dispute resolution.
Advise on planning approvals, regulatory compliance, and development‑related issues.
Work closely with private developers, infrastructure providers, and all levels of government.
Build robust client relationships while delivering commercially focused and practical legal advice.

Ideal Candidate
2–7 years' post-admission experiencein planning and environment law.
Experience gained within a private practice or government planning and setting team.
Exposure to advisory, transactional, litigation, or regulatory planning matters.
Experience in Planning & Environment Court proceedings will be highly regarded, or a genuine interest in developing advocacy skills.
Solid drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
A collaborative, proactive, and commercially minded approach with a genuine passion for planning and setting law.
