The Opportunity

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced GIS qualified to take ownership of a complex Enterprise GIS environment, supporting critical spatial data, platforms, mapping services, and system improvements. You will play a key role in ensuring GIS data integrity, platform performance, and practical spatial outcomes across a large, multi-stakeholder organisation.

The Role

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Enterprise GIS systems and spatial data services.
Manage and optimise Enterprise GIS platforms, spatial databases, and web mapping services
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, backups, security, and system performance
Maintain GIS data repositories, metadata, standards, quality controls, and database design
Provide expert GIS advice, acting as an escalation point for complex technical matters
Deliver advanced spatial analysis, modelling, reporting, and data visualisation outcomes
Support enhancement initiatives through stakeholder consultation, education, and system improvements

About You





You will be a technically strong GIS specialist with the judgement, communication skills, and ownership needed to support a complex enterprise environment.
Strong experience managing GIS platforms, databases, and web delivery systems
Expert knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Platform, including ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Online
Practical experience with FME, spatial data modelling, Arcade, Python, and SQL
Strong capability across spatial analysis, cartography, and data visualisation
Well-developed problem-solving, prioritisation, and time management skills
Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across wide-ranging business groups
Senior GIS role with broad technical ownership and influence
Work across enterprise platforms, spatial data, automation, and web mapping
Chance to improve critical GIS services and stakeholder outcomes
