About the Role
A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing heavy fixed/mobile plant, machinery and transport fleet equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
Service transport fleet including trailers, dollies and end tippers
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
Complete overhauls, repairs, installations and equipment relocations
Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks, including lockout/tagout
Assist with construction, maintenance and continuous improvement projects
Train and support apprentices and labourers
Manage contractors and report equipment issues to management
Maintain protected, clean and organised work areas
Operate heavy machinery safely and in accordance with legislation
We're Looking For
Relevant Trade Qualification – Cert III/IV or higher
Heavy plant experience within metal, manufacturing or mining
Experience with fixed/mobile plant and transport fleet
Robust mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills
Pump maintenance experience
High Risk Work Licences
Strong WHS knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
