Capeview Fresh operates a 3,800 acre property at Gumlu, in North Queensland, growing and packing capsicums, mangoes, limes, and pumpkin.
Reporting to the farm manager and directors, duties include:
Leading a small group of field workers in their duties for the day
Operating tractors, haul out vehicles, and forklifts
General farmhand duties during the off season, such as ground prep, laying plastic, irrigation, spraying, maintenance.
Successful applicants will need:
Previous practical experience in agriculture, including supervision of staff
Experience in operating and maintaining farm machinery
Car licence & own vehicle (essential)
Self-motivation and a positive attitude
Experience in chemical application and forklift licence would also be well regarded
