About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to take full operational responsibility for a supermarket location in Cummins. You'll lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure the store delivers on customer service, presentation, and profitability targets. This is a full time, in office role suited to someone looking to settle into a regional community and take genuine ownership of a store.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, rostering, and staff supervision
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage performance of store team members
Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotions, and stock management
Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships to minimise wastage and stockouts
Ensure compliance with WH&S; and food safety regulations
Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising
Monitor and control wages, shrinkage, and other cost lines against budget
Handle customer queries, complaints, and community engagement to build strong local relationships




Prepare and analyse sales reports, budgets, and KPIs, reporting to senior management
Ensure cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale procedures are followed correctly
Champion a positive, safe, and supportive workplace culture

About You
Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role (supermarket/grocery experience highly regarded but not essential)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Solid understanding of stock control, rostering, and P&L; management
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible roster including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required
A hands-on, "lead from the front" approach
Current driver's licence (relocation candidates welcome)
Full Australian working rights required

What We Offer
$65,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation, dependent on experience
Ongoing training and career development prospects
